Our Mission and Values

About InstaHub

38% of global carbon emissions come from buildings, and 97% of US buildings specifically consistently bleed unused energy.

At InstaHub, we strive to create a greener future by solving this problem. To do so, we create automation that enhances, rather than replaces, existing infrastructure. We analyze waste from lighting and HVAC, and provide solutions to eliminate it. With the simplicity of our tools, your focus can be on impact rather than installation.

InstaHub invites and enables environmentally-minded individuals, regardless of their age, income, or technical knowledge, to make simple but substantial changes in the buildings they utilize every day to reduce energy waste (and bills!).

Our Product

We have developed a Mutli-sensor datalogger with 5 environmental sensors that plugs into any outlet to monitor lighting and HVAC waste. Our interactive dashboard gives clear direction for users to save energy in buildings via our custom SaaS platform tracking space utilization, temperature, pressure, humidity, light, etc. Building owners and operators receive concise actionable recommendations, reports, email/SMS alerts, and a simple powerful analytics tool to understand your building in various angles. All without any maintenance or complex installation.

Our Values:

At InstaHub we value commitment, resilience, optimism, and humility to successfully accomplish our core mission of simplifying automation for energy saving. We are a diverse community working together towards a shared, greener future.

About the Fellowship Program

As an InstaHub Sustainability Fellow, you will be an agent for sustainable change at your school by taking initiative in leading an energy waste reduction project.

You will gain instruction and experience in measuring and understanding energy waste in buildings, and work with real-time data to prescribe solutions for reducing that waste in your school’s buildings. You will take initiative to fundraise the project through various sources, and pilot your own sensor data logger implementation.

Once successful, you will present your findings in order to expand your project and share your experience with your school and fellow students. You will learn from and potentially partner with other fellows, moving forward to expand your project and the impact that is possible through it.

Your project will involve the following:

  • Regular check-in Zoom calls with your Coordinator at InstaHub;

  • Learning about the reality of building waste and how to identify it wherever you are;

  • Planning a data logger pilot for your school by finding potential spaces of waste at your school and the number of data logger needed to track the change you want to see;

  • Planning and receiving support on your grants to fund your pilot project

  • Installing your data loggers and interacting with your user dashboard to identify waste based on your data and strategize on its reduction;

  • Pitch change at your school and expand your project’s impact!
